{"id":3989,"date":"2025-04-12T21:32:20","date_gmt":"2025-04-12T21:32:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/parasita.eu\/?post_type=cpt_joao_martins&#038;p=3989"},"modified":"2025-06-16T12:09:15","modified_gmt":"2025-06-16T12:09:15","slug":"my-dance-history","status":"publish","type":"cpt_joao_martins","link":"https:\/\/parasita.eu\/en\/joao-dos-santos-martins\/my-dance-history\/","title":{"rendered":"My Dance History, 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"text\">\n<p>The Cycle of Talks \u201cMy Dance History\u201d is a project created in 2011, by O Rumo do Fumo and Forum Dan\u00e7a, where personalities connected to contemporary dance are invited to publicly share their History of Dance.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>&#8220;All of us, dancers, choreographers or performers, receive somehow, through different means, more academic or more self-taught, an idea of the History of Dance, or the History of the Performing Arts, from which we feel we &#8216;descend&#8217; (and perhaps we feel we descend from several Histories at the same time!). There were certainly choreographic or scenic creators that made us understand the art we make the way we understand it today. Each one has a specific idea of how this History unfolded, and for each one there are certain artists and certain artistic movements that helped shaping the idea of dance that one has and practices and that, somehow, is answering to that History.
