CE QUE NOUS VOYONS, CE QUI NOUS REGARDE

Live video delay installation consisting of a number of screens spread throughout a large room, in order to receive the video projections of a Max/Jitter patch’s live feed. This patch runn on a laptop, the screen of which is the only light source in the whole room. The screen is plain white: it displayed a white text on a white background. The text can be read, but only from different angles (due to the lcd characteristics). The patch was retrieving the laptop camera live feed, replicating it a number of times and, at each time, delaying its reproduction. The images captured consisted on the lighten faces of the readers, while striving to follow the text. Furthermore, each of the video reproductions, was sent via a beamer to a mirror. The reflection of the mirrors was then projected onto the screens. All this results in an echo chamber where the presence of each visitor repeats itself in loops throughout the space.
